Harvest 2023 has officially begun in Wagon Wrench Vineyard. Yesterday we harvested 8 tons of Sangiovese that will be headed to a local Walla Walla winery to make a lovely rose.
Still to come...lots more Sangiovese, Barbera and Cabernet Franc.
We are lucky that it's been a great growing season. The weather has mostly cooperated, the nets were put on the vineyard before the birds could get to the ripening grapes, and our vineyard manager (Walla Walla Vineyard Management) dialed in the irrigation and the million details required to have a healthy vineyard.
