Dan and Melissa Thiessen along with their 3 sons, Huck, Gus and Otto, own and operate Thiessen Ranch. Dan was raised on a cattle ranch in Asotin, Washington, while Melissa was born and raised in Walla Walla. Dan is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has spent his career in the hospitality industry. CLICK HERE to see Dan’s full bio with career details. Melissa is a graduate of Washington State University and has focused her career on education and communications. They take great pride in raising their family with the work ethic required to raise animals and farm.
This farm was a dream of Dan and Melissa’s since they met – rooted in great family history and a desire to provide a legacy for their own children. Here we grow wine grapes and raise cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and laying hens. The family brand is the “Wagon Wrench” and it comes from the 130+ year old Thiessen family cattle brand.
